WHEN DID YOU LAST FEEL HAPPIEST?

Lying on the couch with my 2.5year old, while the baby was having his late afternoon nap. Newborns/babies do demand a lot your attention so that one on one time with your first born is insanely precious. You can feel how special it makes them feel too which is purely heartwarming.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SOUND?

I listen to ocean sounds every night … similar to white noise. It completely transports me to the beach & I love it!

WHAT IS IT THAT MOST ATTRACTS YOU TO SOMEONE?

Kindness without a doubt. It takes a few short conversations with someone to get a sense of who they are - and kindness sticks out like a sore thumb.

WHEN DO YOU MOST FEEL YOUR SENSE OF POWER IN BEING A WOMAN?

Ooo what a question! I’ve actually had to go on with the rest of the interview & circle back to this one last! I’d say that I feel a sense of ‘power’ when I am around other women doing great things - even if it’s listening to a Podcast with a fabulous woman. I’m empowered by the fact I share in a lot of what ‘she’ has. I hope that makes sense?! In short - other women make me feel powerful … and energised & inspired & bloody lucky to be in the skin I’m in.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT AGEING?

I am ALL for aging naturally however I’d like to do my best to age gracefully and age in good health for both the benefit of my family & myself. Eating well, keeping active, wearing daily SPF, investing into good skincare product and taking the time to relax by doing what I love … reading, aimlessly wandering around, the Sunday morning Crozzle. With every year that goes past I genuinely do feel as though I become a more confident person as I stop worrying so much about what everyone else is doing, what they think of me etc. This sense of self helps with sleep & general energy levels - both of which I hope lean into ageing gracefully!

Women are always said to be ‘emotional’ which too often is looked at in a negative light. Women are empathic & multi-layered.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE MARKING ON YOUR BODY?

I have quite a scarred finger from an accident as a toddler. To be honest I’ve always been shy about it … still to this day … but since having kids, for the first time I’ve found myself explaining to people what happened. I want my boys to grow up feeling great about their bodies, so maybe it’s a subconscious way of leading of example? Who knows! But yes, I’ve learned to love my scars because it makes me, me.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU BELIEVED TO BE TRUE AS A GIRL ABOUT BEING A FEMALE THAT YOU HAVE FOUND TO BE TRUE WITH AGE?

I think (sadly), females still need to work harder to get a seat at the table … as in the corporate table. I was raised in a household where my mum was the breadwinner, so in my eyes working mums are the normal. However to get those big ticket careers or roles, the sacrifice on the female side is far heftier - regardless of if she is a mum. I hope this continues to change … at a more exponential rate.

IS THERE ANYTHING THAT PROVED TO BE UNTRUE?

Women are always said to be ‘emotional’ which too often is looked at in a negative light. Women are empathic & multi-layered. We are not ‘emotional’ per-se … we are thoughtful.

WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE?

I’ve never been a fan of the week my period arrives due to having one more thing to worry about i.e. pads & tampons. This is why I am SO thrilled to have come across FEMMZE. So, so thrilled! I am very grateful however to have a regular cycle as it’s allowed me to have to beautiful children with no issues. That’s like a winning lotto ticket right?

WE GROW AND EVOLVE AS HUMANS, BUT THERE IS USUALLY ONE VIRTUE THAT IS INDIVIDUAL TO US. WHAT IS YOURS?

I can always see two sides of a story. This has meant that in times I’ve probably been labelled as ‘Switzerland’ … scared of confrontation (which in fairness, I don’t warm towards), and in an argument it can appear as though I’m being a push over. I know when I am right, absolutely … 100%. But I can always empathise with another point of view. It doesn’t mean I agree with it - but I understand it.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR CONNECTION TO EARTH?

I think I just feel grateful. I am very grateful to be here. Life is intense … in so many ways. But it’s also magic.

IF A GIRL FOUND YOUR NAME ON THE INTERNET 100 YEARS FROM NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE SAID ABOUT YOU?

Ooo let me think! Something simple yet positive, ‘Tori always gave it a crack.’
